Students of Anhui Automobile Industry School Open the Road of "Work-study Alternation" to Break Cocoons and Become Butterflies
"Integration of production and education and alternation of work and study" is the concrete embodiment of implementing the spirit of the National Vocational Education Conference, and it is also an important measure to push forward the reform of vocational education. At the beginning of the new semester, Anhui Automobile Industry School selected two enterprises, namely Hefei Gree Electric and Weilai Automobile, as the work and study alternation enterprises of industrial robot specialty and new energy automobile specialty in 2020, on the basis of previous visits and on-the-spot investigation, and according to the principle of "professional counterparts and seeking truth from practice".
Under the joint arrangement of schools and enterprises, nearly 300 students went to Hefei Gree Electric and Weilai Automobile for a four-month on-the-job teaching practice from September 5th. "It is the first time for many students to leave campus for a short time and experience the first line of enterprise production, and it is the key to do a good job in logistics service and on-the-job management." Li Liancheng, director of the Academic Affairs Office, who is in charge of leading the organization of work-study alternation, said that the school and the enterprise jointly set up a management working group. Not only did teachers live with students 24 hours a day, but also the school party Committee established a "guarantee system" for party Committee members to contact classes, and at the same time effectively played the role of the head teacher as a link to do a comprehensive and meticulous job.
From September 6th, the students who participated in the work-study alternation passed the enterprise physical examination one after another, went through the entry formalities and got the "employee card" of the enterprise. "At present, everyone is a dual identity, that is, students at school and employees of enterprises. Enterprises have carried out pre-job safety training, corporate culture training and practical operation training." When talking about "dual management", Liang Zhuotao, director of the Student Affairs Office, said, "School management is the same as daily school attendance, quantitative assessment of dormitory hygiene, careful registration of students who take leave, strict implementation of the requirements of enterprises and territories for epidemic prevention and control, and good nucleic acid detection and prevention.
On September 13th, it was the first day for the students of this school to officially take up their posts in Weilai Automobile. The school and the enterprise jointly held a "ceremony to learn from the teacher" for the students. The apprentices lined up in neat rows and bowed deeply to the master, took up the teacups and respectfully offered tea to the master. The master gave a speech and a gift to the apprentices. Fan Guangcheng, deputy director of the Admissions Office, said, "The ceremony marks the beginning of on-the-job teaching practice. At the same time, it also injects more sense of ceremony into school-enterprise cooperation by inheriting excellent traditional culture, so that both teachers and apprentices can conclude more sense of mission and responsibility."
On-the-job teaching cannot be divorced from humanistic care. This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is the first festival for students to leave home and campus for the enterprise. On the day of the festival, Wang Kun, secretary of the Party Committee and president of the school, and Shou Peicong, vice president of the school, visited the students in the enterprise, listened to their demands, learned about the accommodation and working environment, distributed holiday gifts to the students and spent the Mid-Autumn Festival with them. According to the arrangement, the school will regularly organize cultural and sports activities, patriotism education and excellent traditional culture education to keep abreast of students’ psychological trends and ensure that every student enjoys learning, thinking and making progress in the enterprise.
At present, the work-study alternation has been going on for more than half a month, and the students have all changed from "excitement" at the beginning to "adaptation" at present. The new job requirements, real practical operation and strict double norms have made the students of this school "break the cocoon into butterflies" and strive to move towards higher and stronger goals.
This work-study alternation arrangement has both theoretical training and productive practice. Students go deep into actual jobs, participate in productive labor, cultivate students’ professional skills and practical ability, acquire real workplace skills, consolidate knowledge, cultivate professional ability and enhance employment competitiveness in practice.
