Big Data Happiness Portrait: Family relationship has the deepest influence on China people’s happiness.
What is happiness? The explanation in modern Chinese dictionaries is the circumstances and life that make people feel comfortable.
Happiness not only has its own feelings, but also reflects people’s cognition of the external living environment and their own development conditions. With the development of the times, people’s definition and evaluation of happiness are also changing quietly.
The Great Survey of Good Life in China (2020— 2021) found that although the epidemic had a great impact on people’s lives and production, in 2020, the overall happiness of China people did not decrease compared with the previous year, and 45.29% people thought that they were happy and were in the middle of the 15-year happiness curve of China people.
What affects people’s happiness? The big survey took 15 years to find the answer, and we found that the factors affecting China people’s happiness were changing in the past 15 years.
From the overall trend, the influence of income on happiness is diversified. Since 2015, the proportion of "income level" on happiness has been rising continuously, from 35.77% in 2015 to 65.74% in 2019, and dropped to 54.24% for the first time in 2020. It shows that people’s views on the relationship between income and happiness will turn in 2020, and income is no longer as important to happiness as before.
"Social security" is the security of people’s livelihood, which is related to the well-being of everyone and every family. With the continuous improvement of the social security system, people’s sense of gain is also increasing. The influence of "social security" on happiness is not as significant as it was ten years ago.
Family relationship and health status have always been the two core factors supporting people’s happy life, and their influence on happiness has fluctuated little in recent years. How important a harmonious family relationship and a healthy body are to people’s happiness.
Who cares more about health? The survey found that people with an annual income of more than 300,000 pay the lowest attention to health status, while people with an annual income of 50,000-100,000 and less than 50,000 pay a higher attention to health status, and people with an annual income of 200,000-300,000 pay more attention to health status. Without health, sometimes everything goes to zero, and low-income people are more worried about a series of troubles and life pressures caused by physical health problems.
From the perspective of families with different incomes, middle-income families and low-income families also pay more attention to health status than high-income families.
In the eyes of most people, young people of generation Z often pay more attention to themselves and are not very close to their families. However, a large survey found that their inner feelings may not be well expressed. From different ages, young people born after 1995 have the highest choice, and they are more willing to seek the understanding of their families and have a good and harmonious family relationship.
